DIY: FU DOUBLE CK Sweatshirt

1.23.2013

Labels: ,

A couple days ago I posted about these SheInside sweatshirts that I've had my eye on.  I received a few comments warning me about SheInside's lack of quality and customer service (I don't have a personal opinion, I have never purchased from the site), and a suggestion that I should DIY the sweatshirt instead.  So, that's exactly what I did.  I made a tutorial explaining how I made the sweatshirt and even included the pattern I used for whomever would like to make their own as well.  The sweatshirt cost me less than $10 total, and only took about half an hour to come up with the design and make it.  I think it turned out very well and it was definitely worth it.

What I used:
Plain black sweatshirt (I bought a men's size large for that oversized feel)
Pack of dark-fabric transfers (iron-on transfers for dark material)

You can save and print the pattern I designed through the following links:
          White letters
          Black letters
Both black and white (save paper!)

Print the pattern by changing the print layout to landscape and scaling it to 100% of the page.  Print the pattern (or a design of your own!) onto a sheet of the fabric transfers.  Carefully cut it out.

Following the instructions on your packet of transfers, iron the letters onto the sweatshirt.  I did mine one letter at a time and started in the center.  The center of the design cuts through the double C as shown.  Let the design cool and you have your very own FU DOUBLE CK sweatshirt.
