If you are a regular reader of my blog, you've probably noticed the new layout and design.  I've decided to take the blog in a semi-different direction.  I am making it more personal, and am using it to push myself creatively.  I realize how vague that sounds, but we will figure out what that means together.  I am really excited for the change, and I hope that you can appreciate and enjoy it.

These boots are actually my roommate's, but I plan on stealing them all the time.  I need to get myself a good pair of ass-kicking boots.  I'm looking for something Sid & Nancy meets colonial equestrian, preferably in black, and would look awesome with a pair of cut-offs.  If you have any suggestions...

These are some of my new jewels that I cannot stop wearing.  This unique dragonfly piece is from my new friends at Sparkling Sage jewelry.  I have previously published some of their pieces that you can see here.  I just got these every finger rings in from Asos today.  They are knock-offs of Balenciaga, and definitely worth it for the price.  They've been super popular around the blogosphere lately (at least that I've noticed), and I'm glad that I scooped them up before they were sold out.  I have giant man-hands, so I had to wear some of the rings on my knuckle, but I still think it looked badass.  I DIYed the black gemstone necklace, which I just realized is turned around in every picture that I took.  My laziness has gotten the better of me, I'm sorry.

Nouveau

A quick post on some new pieces I've recently acquired.  This top is from Kill City, joggers from Forever 21, and necklace from Urban.

This week has been pretty hectic because I am participating in THON this weekend.  THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world.  We work all year long to raise money for pediatric cancer and the Four Diamonds fund, and it all accumulates into a weekend-long 46-hour dance marathon.  It's a really awesome cause and event, and you can find out more about (and maybe donate!) by checking out http://thon.org.  Last year we raised over 10 million dollars!  It's been an emotional rollercoaster and it's only going to get worse as the weekend progresses.

Iridescent

I'm a sucker for iridescence.  I picked up this little number from H&M when I went to New York this past weekend.  It is so soft and chunky and has this perfect little layer of plastic-y iridescence on top.  I can't wait to rock it this winter with a simple winter coat.

Finally school does something nice for me.  I sold my old text books and used the cash money to buy myself these new Jett Boots by Jeffrey Campbell.  I've been searching the interwebs for some time now trying to find the perfect low cut boots, and found these while coming up with this outfit.  I couldn't be happier with them!  (However, I could do without the blisters they gave me because I refuse to wear socks for some ungodly reason.)  I can't wait to do an outfit post with them, look for one soon!

New Bag

Just ordered this amazing bag by Deux Lux.  I've been on the hunt for a good black leather bag that I can fit all my stuff in for work and maybe for class.  This "Snake Chain Gusset Bag" is on sale at Urban Outfitters for only $45!  Regularly $114, I'd say that I got a hell of a deal.  I know I need to watch my spending lately, but can you blame me?  I haven't ordered a new bag in like a year.  Seriously.

Anyways, I'm heading back home after work today because my sister's bridal shower and uncle's 40th birthday party are in this weekend.  It's going to get pretty chaotic, especially because I still haven't gotten her a gift.  Tonight I'm free, so I think I'm going to spend the night catching up with some old friends over some sort of alcoholic beverage, either at my place or a bar downtown.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Bag O Bones

You know what the greatest thing ever is?  The voucher deals over at Refinery 29.  Right now they have vouchers for sale for one of my favorite online stores, Wasteland.  You can pick up $130 worth of goodies for $65 or $220 worth for $110.  I used my cash money to pick up this Bag O Bones Cuff by Chris Habana.  I also got myself a pair of MINKPINK denim shorts, which means that one item has been checked off my summer wishlist.  Next on the list - this basic white pocket tee by T by Alexander Wang.  I've developed such an expensive taste lately, ugh.

New Shoes

I'm not a big fan of knock-offs.  I don't mind paying to ensure that what I purchase is a quality product. I'm also 5'9" and wasn't sure if Jeffrey Campbell Litas would look ridiculous on me.  I bought these Jeffrey Campbell and UNIF Hellraiser look-a-likes on Modocat for about $100 for all three of them.  How amazing is that!  They are actually quality shoes too.  The Lita look-a-likes are amazing, and my boyfriend still has about an inch on me (which he is ecstatic about).  They are the perfect blue color for the fourth as well.  Can't wait to wear them out tonight for fireworks and festivities!  Happy fourth of July to all my American followers!
