I'm typing from the comfort of my hard-wood bedroom floors with blue hair.  I'm experimenting with new ways to dye my hair and hopefully it won't turn out terribly bad.  I've been trying to shoot an outfit for the last couple of days, but since I brought my boyfriend home for the week my mom has been going insane with planning out every single minute of our time spent at home.

Here is a little outfit inspired by comic book graphics and a mixture of high street meets high fashion.  I need these exclamation point earrings and monochrome handbag in my life!

Tomorrow I am off to Erie, PA to spend some time by the lake (in the freezing cold...) and some time with my best friend.  Here's to praying that my hair turns out well and I can actually show my face outside the house...

I created this look after being inspired by the all-white, more architectural pieces that I've been seeing in recent editorials.  White and silver is such an amazing combination, I had to throw in some silver details.  I thought this MMM sunglasses holder necklace was an interesting find.  It is stylish enough to wear on its own, but also practical!

I just wanted to write a quick post letting everyone know that I'm alive.  I've had such an incredible weekend at THON.  We raised $12.4 million this year for pediatric cancer, and I couldn't be more proud to be apart of such a great cause.  A new outfit post to come tomorrow.

Simple color-blocking and sporty luxe pieces are quickly becoming my thing.  I wish I could afford to throw some designer pieces in with my everyday look.  To make it fabulous, I love to accessorize with a pile of rings on my fingers or bracelets on my wrists.  The more the merrier, as long as I'm not weighed down on one side.  These stackable rings from Fresh Trends are made to be combined.

Fashion, literature, and music have always gone hand in hand for me.  I like to keep myself in a creative environment that involves a lot of different mediums.  I've been thinking about this a lot lately as I have been applying to industrial design firms, where I can combine my engineering degree with my love for being creative and creating.  Of course, those of you that are reading this more than likely share those passions with me.  I couldn't imagine living my life any other way, and am so thankful that I have found these outlets.

As for this look, I wanted to combine some staple pieces, like this bag and jacket, with a couple more statement-y ones.  I've been weeding out my closet lately, stripping it down to the bare minimum, really trying to discover myself and become more honest with it.  I am not proud of the amount of stuff that is being discarded that I have only worn a couple times or not at all.  After the clean-out, I am planning on investing in a few pieces that I can use to define my "uniform" - once I figure that out.  Fashion is such a constant evolution, it is almost tiresome at times.  Right now I find myself moving more towards minimal, quality pieces.  Who knows, maybe we're never meant to be completely satisfied with what we own and what we do with it, and will go through life cleaning out our closets and starting over.  What do you think?

I associate black diamonds with black roses.  To some people, they symbolize death and can be too morose, but the true meaning is one of strength and power.  I think they are gorgeous, dark and mysterious, but still romantic.  This bracelet from My Jewelry Box is simple enough to wear all the time, and definitely makes an impact.

Some street style and outfit inspiration from my favorite model of the moment - Cara Delivingne.  I love Cara's style, all her layers and quirks look so effortless, yet so fashionable.  I think the best part of her style is her attitude.  I would love to meet her, become best friends, and raid her closet.

This outfit incorporates a couple pieces I stole from Cara's looks and a mix of high end, street, and vintage pieces that she is so famous for mixing.  How perfect are these Balmain sneakers?  Ugh, a girl can dream, right?

I would consider myself an eyewear enthusiast.  I refuse to get contacts because I love wearing my glasses so much.  I constantly find myself switching between my prescription glasses and a solid pair of shades every time I step outside.  I can only dream that one day I will be switching between these two.  The half frame and gold details of these Ray Ban sunnies makes me swoon and the timeless shape of wayfarers always draws me in.

Sorry for my lack of updates lately.  School has started again and I've been in a bit of a funk.  I put together this outfit of some indulgences I've recently been obsessed over.  I can't afford anything here - except for the Asos chain necklace that is currently in my shopping cart - but its nice to look at and day dream.  I need a little retail therapy to pull me out of this bad mood I've been in the last couple of days.  Still trying to adjust to being back in State College and going to classes.  Hopefully a new outfit post is soon to come.

I could live in vintage band tees.  I am lucky enough that my dad pretty much devoted his early 20s to going to rock concerts.  I remember the day that he pulled my into the garage, got out a giant plastic bin, and we went through his old tees.  There is a story behind each one, and I feel honored that he knew I would take good care of them and continue the story.  Now you go online and pay a hundred dollars for a solid vintage tee, without the meaning behind it.

Today is my last day of my internship, and I really cannot believe how fast this summer went!  Billy is graduating tomorrow, and then we are heading back to Jersey for a few days and then off to the beach.  I'm so excited, mainly that I will have the chance to practice taking pictures on his Canon 60D before I get my own.  I can't wait to spend some time with his family, sleep in, and drink cocktails with my toes in the sand.  I'm bringing my laptop, so hopefully I will have some awesome pictures and outfits to share with you throughout the week!

From nails to tattoos to jewelry, the "Evil Eye" is popping up everywhere.  I love the trend!  The evil eye is believed by many cultures to cause injury or bad luck to those whom it is directed at, which makes it that much more badass.  I love the influence of it on recent jewelry lines, especially Erin Wasson's new line "Low Luv".  The simple gold ring is my favorite piece.  Best of all, these pieces aren't ridiculously priced!  My favorite ring is only $29!

There's been a lot of excitement lately, I only have one week of my internship left, and will soon be off to the beach!  I am going with Billy and his family to the Jersey Shore (the same exact beach that the tv show was filmed at, yikes!) and am so excited to soak up some sun and just get to the ocean.  In other news, I am now the proud owner of some platinum blonde locks!  My hair has always been a dirty blonde, recently very light blonde, and now platinum!  I used Manic Panic toner in Virgin Snow over my bleached tresses and it took out the pale yellow tones so perfectly without turning my hair a bright white color.  I love the results and cannot wait to show you!  I have an outfit shoot planned after I get out of work, so hopefully you will see soon!

Major obsessing over this sweater by Wildfox Couture.  So tattered and perfect.  I put together this simple outfit around it.  I had a pair of grey lo-top Chuck Taylors that I unfortunately lost during the Radiohead show at Bonnaroo this year.  In their memory, I grabbed my old black Chucks from my mom's house while I was home.  And yes, I realize this Alexander Wang bag is way out of my price range, but a girl can dream, right?

I'm loving this badass look on Laura Kampman.  The best part is its so simple and easy!  The wolf tee is so great, and cheap!  You can get it on ebay for $17!  It's a great little DIY project, chopping on the sleeves and doing as you please with it.  Leather pants are my fave, and I love her simple black accessories with the all black ensemble.  You can bet that I will be purchasing this tee in the near future.
